How does SearchUs indexing work?
SearchUs works by letting the WordPress plugin discover and extract eligible content you choose to index. SearchUs then builds, stores, and queries a hosted index—so search workload stays off your WordPress database.
What documents are supported?
Document search covers text-based PDF and Word/DOCX files. Scanned PDFs, spreadsheets, slide decks, archive extraction, and generated media transcripts are not supported.
Do you generate video transcripts?
Video caption search indexes existing VTT/SRT caption tracks when present—it does not generate transcripts from audio or video.
Are ranking controls paid-only?
Ranking, intent, SERP, and media settings ship in the plugin. Plan differences are mainly quotas. Did You Mean suggestions follow paid-plan API behavior.
What is Result Control?
Result Control lets you curate and pin important results for key queries. It is not a sponsored-ad marketplace.
What are product filters?
On commerce results, shoppers can use Shopping-tab product filters based on indexed product data.
How many environments does a license cover?
One license can cover Production plus Stage and Dev environments (including local). Stage and Dev have lower search caps than Production.
