Configuring Search Synonyms

Map visitor language to your content concepts so alternate phrases still find the right pages.

Synonyms map visitor language to your content concepts (for example “rev ops” → revenue operations). They affect matching and scoring. They are not size/color product aliases—those live under Ecommerce → WooCommerce.

  1. Open Intent → Synonyms

    Define a YAML map: a canonical term, then synonym lines beneath it. Visitors who type a synonym can still reach pages written in your canonical language, with full scoring weight.

  2. Upload or suggest terms

    Use Choose File to replace the list from a TXT/YML/YAML file, or Suggest more for language-style synonym ideas (stemmer gaps and related phrases—not product titles or size/color). Review, then Save Changes.
